How a fragrance strategy went to work in digital marketing

From the idea of fragrance as a form of self-expression to a scalable digital system that builds reach, trust and sales.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Marketing strategy
  • Google Ads campaigns
  • Meta Ads campaigns
  • Social media management
  • Influencer marketing

After the success of the communication strategy and the launch of a new website for JFenzi, it was time for the next stage of the brand’s growth. Digital marketing was there to raise recognition, build awareness among key target groups and place the brand in its audience’s everyday channels – consistently, but naturally.

Key project goals and challenges

  • Developing a digital marketing strategy.

  • Increasing recognition of the JFenzi brand.

  • Growing product sales in Poland.

  • Creating effective, coherent communication.

  • Running consistent organic and paid communication.
  • Influencer marketing activity.

Foundations built before the work began

The digital marketing stage was not a start “from zero”. JFenzi already had a clearly defined brand identity, a language of communication and a coherent visual world. The strategy had defined fragrance as a way of expressing yourself – your mood, your style, your emotions – available without price barriers.

The digital work had one job: to put the strategy already prepared into practice. Not to reinterpret it, not to simplify it, but to translate it into the brand’s daily presence in online channels.

One goal, many channels

Rather than treating individual channels separately, the work was planned as a coherent ecosystem. Every element – social media, paid advertising and influencers – had a different function, but all of them worked towards the same goal: gradually building recognition and trust in the brand.

This was not about quick performance wins, but about creating a system that can be developed, scaled and optimised over time.

The brand’s everyday presence

Social media content was built on formats native to the platforms and to fragrance trends: short videos, lifestyle shots of bottles, GRWM, rankings, dupe talk and simple educational formats. All of it was designed for a long-term brand presence rather than one-off pushes.

JFenzi’s social media was meant to work as a constant, recognisable part of its audience’s day. The communication focused on emotion and context of use – the situations in which a fragrance genuinely accompanies people. In line with the strategy, the communication varied by channel while keeping the brand’s tone and aesthetics consistent.

Visibility where fragrance trends are born

TikTok served as the reach and trend-setting channel. This is where the brand built that first encounter with JFenzi, using formats characteristic of the platform: dupe talk, GRWM, fragrance rankings and short storytelling pieces. The content was dynamic, light and set in everyday situations, so fragrance slotted naturally into the rhythm of the audience’s day.

Visual identity at the centre of the communication

Instagram was responsible for ordering the aesthetics and building the brand’s visual identity. The communication rested on a coherent visual world: lifestyle shots of bottles, moodboards, flat lays and reels that developed the fragrance storytelling in a more polished, aesthetic form. Instagram was the place where fragrance “looked the part” and built an aspirational yet accessible brand image.

Information and offer in one place

Facebook worked as the more informational, sales-oriented channel, aimed mainly at loyal customers. The content was calmer, more concrete and geared towards making the buying decision easier – presenting fragrances, occasion-based recommendations and offer communication.

Scaling reach in short-form

YouTube Shorts rounded out the brand’s presence with short video, extending the reach of the content and allowing it to be distributed further without producing a separate format.

meta ads

Scaling up and coming back to the brand

Meta Ads campaigns supported the organic work where its reach naturally runs out. This channel handled scaling the brand’s visibility and systematically reminding people who had already come across JFenzi.

Meta Ads were used both to build reach and for remarketing that drove traffic to the online store. The ad creative did not differ stylistically from the organic content – it kept the same visual and emotional language, so it never read as “a separate advert”.

Google ads

Google Ads played a different role from social media and Meta Ads. It was the channel aimed at users who already knew what they were looking for – specific fragrances, perfume as a gift, or alternatives to pricier brands.

Campaigns in Google captured high purchase-intent traffic and closed a journey that had often started earlier on social media. As a result, JFenzi’s digital work rested not only on inspiration but on real buying decisions.

TikTok Ads

Scaling up where the trends are born

TikTok Ads was used to strengthen the brand’s presence among younger target groups. The campaigns rested on native video formats that worked like a natural part of the platform.

Instead of classic adverts we used short pieces built on vibe, aesthetics and simple fragrance stories. TikTok Ads made it possible to scale content that had already proved itself organically, without changing the brand’s language.

Influencer marketing

The influencer work was there to strengthen the brand’s credibility and root it in a real context of use. The collaborations were built around creators who genuinely operate in beauty and lifestyle.

Influencers tested the fragrances, compared them and showed them in everyday rituals and situations. As a result JFenzi appeared in communication that read closer to a recommendation than an advertising claim, and the brand gained social proof.

“Working with the IVN agency on the communication strategy for JFenzi was a very positive experience. The team really understood the character of the brand and its audience, and delivered a coherent, modern strategy that was ready to roll out. The whole process ran smoothly, on time and in a genuinely collaborative atmosphere.”
